Building Kayaks Winter 2016

Scout camp will be the week of July 18.  In preparation we are building kayaks which will propel us across Palisades Reservoir and then we will spend the week on the other side.  We gathered up all the boys and our first meeting was in January at Ben's shop.  We started with some plywood and some long boards of pine and began cutting out the shapes.  By the 3rd or 4th time we had some of the frames shaping up really nice.  I will keep posting pictures as we complete this.  I am hoping we are not too far behind as we have not been able to get together and build for quite a few weeks.

 About 3-4 meetings later they started to look like this.  Thanks to Ben for allowing us the use of his shop, even though he is no longer the Scoutmaster.
