Camping at The Big Eddy. June 2014

This is the summary of the camp trip to the Big Eddy with the 11 year old scouts.  Like a dummy I forgot to take pictures.  Those that came were Tucker and Kaleb Kearsley, Ben and Wayne (father) Egbert, Carson and Mike (father) Walters, Antonio and Hector (father) Bedolla.  We camped right on the banks of the Teton river.  We roasted hot dogs with a stick and ate beans, chips, cookies and other stuff for dinner.  The boys tried to fish but the river was so high and fast that there wasn't much action.  Wayne hooked a decent fish but it got off before coming to the bank.
We set up my big wall tent and Kaleb, Tucker and Ben slept in it while the other boys slept with their dads in personal tents.  Wayne slept in a hard top tent (aka his van) and I slept in my cot that has a pop up tent attached.  It was a nice evening and night and we all slept well except the boys were whining about me snoring.  I think it was actually the boys in the white tent that did it.  I've never heard myself snore so I don't believe I did it. :)
For breakfast we had the boys try to cook on a fire with pots and pans.  We had breakfast burritos.  It was difficult to cook and we learned that it is just easier to bring a stove.
Overall we had a good trip.  We only had a few minor injuries and only lost a couple things which we later found.  The boys were able to pass off a large chunk of their Tenderfoot requirements and also get some cooking experience.  We missed Andrew Simmons and his father Tom as they were out of town.  We also missed Cort Dunlap who had just moved away before going.

I said I forgot to take pictures of this trip but then I found some on my old camera disk.  I have no recollection of taking these.  Bummer I didn't get all the boys' pictures taken.  I'm getting to be an old man forgetting stuff looks like.
