Spring Bonfire April 10th

Again, I forgot to take pictures.  We had one last bonfire and hot dog and marshmallow roast for Ben and Antonio as they are leaving for the 12 year olds.  Last month we said goodbye to Kaleb and so now we are left with 6 scouts.  We had a lot of boys show up for the party.  Not only the 11 year olds but Will and Logan came who are the little brothers to Ben and Carson.  Quinn had a friend over named Brady and we had our new puppy Maple.  The puppy was quite a hit.  We fulfilled the requirement to build a useful camp gadget from lashings.  While the fire was just getting started a mouse ran out and hid between Ben's legs.  Ben was trying to break a branch off the Christmas tree before it caught on fire.  Ben had no idea the mouse was there and the mouse thought he had found a good hiding place.  I pointed it out to Ben and all of a sudden there was a frenzy of boys trying to catch this mouse.  They chased it all over the yard and clear to the shed where they finally caught it then threw it in the fire.  We had a good time.  Now we are doing powwows which is a little less fun but at least they can get merit badges easy.
