For a reward for most of the boys getting their Second Class Rank I chose to throw them a party where we would watch Napolean Dynamite. When we went swimming awhile ago we had passed Subway and a lot of the boys, especially Ben, were trying to get me to take them there. I told them that once they got their second classes then I would. We set the time up for last Thursday as they were not going to have school the next day and so they could stay just a little later. We got a stack of several different varieties of 4 inch meat and cheese sandwiches with different breads. They put the toppings on different plates and then had mayo and mustard packages. Ben had texted Teresa and told her that he wanted barbecue sauce and peppers on his sandwich so we got some of that too. It was funny, there were all these sandwiches and after the boys had eaten only one they were all just sitting around awkwardly. I was wondering what was up but they were just to shy to ask for a second one. I said, "dig in and eat until they are gone." That seemed to please them and they all dove in for a second round. We then watched Napolean Dynamite. It seems like about half of them had seen it before. Those present were Kaleb, Carson, Ben, Andrew, Antonio, Chase and Dalton which is all the boys I currently have. I will post who earned what when we do the Scout Court of Honor next week.
